Perfect Location For An Elopement In Williamsburg

Because of the location of this elopement in Williamsburg, we were able to get tons of family photos along with capturing the short elopement ceremony which took place on a little beach area close by. We decided to do some family photos in an area with tall bushes and grown-in grass, and then headed to the beach which was just footsteps away! I love how the rocks lined the sides of the shore making the beach feel cozy and romantic. The sun was setting and the golden hour was golden houring and everything was just perfect.

 

Golden Hour Wedding Vibes

Believe it or not the day started off cloudy–like really cloudy. All day we were watching the forecast. I always say that clouds are fine, as long as we don’t have rain. But in this case, had the rain come we’d have just gone with it! But luckily the rain held off and the clouds opened up and Mr. Golden Sun made an appearance. This made for such a beautiful ceremony for this super special elopement in Williamsburg, Va–not to mention the gorgeous photos!

 

What To Wear For An Elopement On The Beach

I love helping my clients decide what to wear, and that included this special occasion. Ashley and I worked together to brainstorm some ideas for her dress, and then she found the perfect one! It was just stunning–the perfect alchemy of casual and classic. As for the family, they all wore variations of whites and blues and here’s what I LOVED: they kicked their shoes off for the evening and went barefoot! It was just the best.
